Scott’s Wideplank Flooring is Ireland's leanding hardwood flooring company. Scott's is a wholly Irish owned, family run business.

The Early Years

Established in 1986 by husband and wife team Pat & Geraldine the company specialised in remilling reclaimed pine into wooden flooring. Then known as Pick of the Pines Recycling Ltd (PPR Ltd) we were the first company in Ireland to specialise in the manufacture, supply and fit of wideplank, solid wood flooring.

For almost six years Pat & Geraldine travelled extensively throughout the UK and Europe sourcing old pine beams to be carefully restored and milled into the finest wideplank flooring at the company’s Donegal Mill.

Our beautiful Pine floors are fitted in the finest Irish homes, stately castles and Irish pubs and hotels worldwide. Clients included Jury’s Hotels, Dromoland Castle and the Irish Pubs Company.

The Era of Solid Hardwoods

In the early 1990’s the company began to import old growth classic hardwood lumbers from the USA and mainland Europe as demand for solid wood flooring started to grow.

In 1994 the company name was changed to Scott’s Wideplank Flooring. Dealing directly with the Mills ourselves to ensure the best grade and selection of wood we specialised not only in wide widths but also long length floor board. During this time we became the first company to supply and install wideplank wooden flooring with underfloor heating.

Again our product can be seen in many of the most prestigious developments nationwide. Specifiers include the country’s top architects, designers and developers.

24 Successful Years in Business …

In 2010 we are celebrating 24 years in business. With this maturity the company has reached a level of expertise and knowledge unrivalled in the industry. We will continue to offer a fine selection of classic hardwood flooring in wide boards and longer lengths.

We lead the way in delivering outstandingly beautiful and design led wooden floors for every domestic and commercial situation. Indeed our range has recently extended to include beautiful reclaimed floors as well as exceptional engineered flooring.
